Job Criteria
Highest Qualification: Polytechnic Diploma
Relevant Experience: 1 year(s)
Nature of Position: Permanent
1. Understand customer requirements as stated in their requisitions and obtain relevant information to execute the work.
2. Improve continuously by keeping up-to-date with new and existing products and suppliers’ information relevant to the purchaser’s discipline or area of work.
3. Ensure that all materials and subcontracts are procured and awarded at the best evaluated, both technically and commercially in accordance with Purchasing Guidelines, in a timely and accurate manner.
4. Expedite orders to meet requirements.
5. Coordinate and act as the central point of communication between our clients (internal & external) and the vendors for all commercial matters.
6. Obtain quotations of both materials and services for purpose of estimating and tenders, in a timely and accurate manner.
7. Sale/disposal of scrap material.
8. Follow up on deficiency reports from QA/QC and discrepancies in reports from Warehouse with vendors and subcontractors.
9. Maintain and update purchasing document/records as per Purchasing Guidelines.
10. Comply to and perform the duties of a purchaser in accordance with the Purchasing Guidelines.
11. Issue Non-Conformity (NCR) appropriately through the OFI system.
12. Assist the Purchasing Manager to develop costing and estimates of product and services.
13. Any other tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Business
  • Preference given to those with minimum 1 – 2 years relevant experience in purchasing
