Job Description
  •  Responsible for the industrialization of new products from initial assessment of formulas to scale up, creating procedures, reviewing plant trials, training and optimizing the process.
  • Support manufacturing through production troubleshooting and product quality deviation investigations.
  •  Participate in new technologies implementation or transfer, support manufacturing process improvements by taking part in the design, ensuring safe process systems and work, leading the qualification and validation of the processes and systems, training and preparing the SOPs.
  • Initiate and lead product and process optimization projects to improve the production yield, productivity and reduce the process complexity.
  • Interface between Research and Development (Flavorists, R&T Innovation), Supply Chain (Customer service, Production, Planning and Procurement), Quality, Engineering, Sales & Marketing and contractors / suppliers.
  • Ensure and proactively support process safety and food safety initiatives and compliance to regulatory requirements.
A.Formal education
B.Sc or M.Sc in Chemical Engineering / Food Science / Food Technology / Biotechnology.
B.Minimum prior work experience 3 relevant years of experience. Preferably 5 years.
C.Special skills required
The incumbent must have strong character and be able to work independently. He / she must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  •  Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  •  Must be a self-starter, curious with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  •  Able to work under pressure and negotiate with internal customers.
  •  Proven track record of resourcefulness and team management.
  •  Proficiency with MS software and manufacturing systems (e.g. SAP).
  •  Preferably have experience with running pilot plant equipment.
  •  Preferably have experience with Spray drying, Emulsion & Liquid Blending, manufacturing and Formulation.
  •  Strong knowledge in processed flavours (Maillard & enzymatic reactions) is a plus.
