Responsibilities

His primary job responsibility would be :

(1)     Plan and manage procurement activities; streamline and implement processes and policies to increase the efficiency of operations in the department.

(2)     Negotiate contract, keeping within or under budgetary requirements.

(3)     Monitor and analyse market and price trends, maintain and control costs at or under budget projections.

(4)     Develop and maintain good partnership and liaison with vendors and responsible for sourcing of vendors and established vendor selection criteria.

(5)     Lead, motivate and develop the procurement and logistic team in meeting departmental and company goals.

(6)      Develop and implement policies, procedure and systems to support procurement and logistic activities

(7)      Analyse past and future inventory demand volumes, inventory trends and make forecast to minimize wastage or surplus

 

Requirements

Education

(1)                Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Management or equivalent

 

Experience and skills sets

(1)        Well versed in PC software - MS Excel / MS Words

(2)        Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin as need to liaise with Chinese speaking counterparts

(3)        Minimum 5 years production track records in material management.

(4)        Strong knowledge and demonstrated expertise in space management , procurement, demand forecasting and planning of raw materials in a manufacturing environment.

(5)        Independent and motivator.

 

5days work week Monday to Friday
