Responsibilities

Fixed Asset and Capex Budget

Responsible for fixed assets management, including handling of fixed assets transactions -additions, disposals, transfers and write-offs

Monitor CAPEX budget and track items purchased using grants

Prepare related fixed asset reports and shcedules on monthly and yearly basis

Coordinate annual and physical inventory exercise

 

Grants, Donation and Fund raising

Ensure compliance with stipulated guidelines and monies are used per guidelines intention

Liason with government, and other funding organisation on various reporting requirements

 

Accounting Projects, papers and policies

Establish clear guidelines and standard operating procedures for proper accounting

Make improvements to current systems and processes to ensure good system and process workflow

Hands-on role in formulating, reviewing and implementing financial policies, procedures, internal controls and systems to support the execution of the School's strategic operations

Requirements

Bachelor in accounting or equivalent with min. 1 year relevant experience

Entry level candidates may apply. Applicants with more than 3 years of relevant experience can be considered for Accountant position

Knowledge of accounting with education and non-profit organisations set up with be advantageous

Saavy in MS Excel, Words and SAP system

Strong awareness of risk and controls

Able to write well (proposals) and meet tight deadlines / multi-task in a fast paced environment

Remarks

Perform ad-hoc. assignments for Management's decision making

5 days work week from 8.30am to 6pm

Salary commensurate with experience
