Responsibilities
  • Analyze the portfolio and key brands on a continuous basis to devise suitable brand marketing strategies to defend and grow existing Fragrance business and to identify new business opportunities with key customers. Regular reporting on key projects to ensure higher ROI.
  • Manage product and market database of responsible categories (track product launch, main and update market product library for the assigned categories). Regular updates of marketing tools in web portal and maintaining presentation database for effective reusing.
  • Effective compilation, synthesis, analysis and communication of marketing information (market shares, brand movements, new product launches, etc) to ensure that the team is equipped with quality category fundamentals for the assigned categories.
  • Lead and conduct regular evaluation sessions of new product launches for the assigned categories with cross functional team and identify olfactive themes / ideas that could be translated to grow the Fragrance business for the assigned categories.
  • Track the Air Care and Cleaner market regionally (APAC) and identify inspirations / trends that could be translated to brand needs / gaps. Occasional travel in the region to deliver presentations.

Strategic Category Marketing: Home Care (Air Care, Household Cleaners)
  • Leverage global marketing tools / network to provide creative category presentations, inspired by global trends for global and local customers / projects that can generate new Fragrance business opportunities.
  • Develop and showcase category expertise through innovative workshops and deliver compelling category presentations in terms of market, brand, olfactive and consumer understanding to identify gaps/ opportunities and deliver branded solutions to key customers.
  • Partner with Regional Category Marketing Head to actively promote Company's marketing tools, core competencies and technologies to key customers by linking it to their brand needs.
  • Initiate and lead inspiration sessions together with assigned work team to activate 'ready to go' concepts and fragrance collection kits to support business development.
  • Work closely with the sales and development team to conceptualize and create presentations to support key customer projects for the assigned categories and network with the cross functional team effectively to deliver the business results.

Requirements
  • Degree in Marketing. Chemical industry background is preferred
  • Minimum 5-6 years experience in Home Care marketing (fragrance company or marketing firm preferred)
  • Experience marketing brands
  • Market knowledge of FMCG industry (Home Care)
  • Fluency in Japanese would be a bonus
  • Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Photoshop or other creative software
  • Good communication skills, open minded, creative, confident and a team player
