Responsibilities
  • Work closely with payroll vendor on payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timely payment of salary. Check payroll computations, obtain sign-off and ensure correct posting of payroll accounting journals into the financial books
  • Ensure payroll activities and processes are audit compliance. Internal and external controls are appropriately established in accordance to audit requirements through maintaining document workflow and work procedures and ensure they are in line with current practice. Participate in payroll audit activities and handle audit queries for payroll with internal and external auditors
  • Manage all statutory reporting requirements such as Income Tax, Central Provident Fund, Reservist Make-up Claims, and Foreign Workers Levy and so on. Prepare and maintain standard and ad-hoc reports and queries
  • Responsible for updating all changes in payroll system and ensure information is up-to-date and accurate for payroll purposes
  • Liaise with payroll vendor to resolve system problems and perform scheduled activities
Requirements
  • A. Formal education
  • A diploma and minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
  • B. Minimum prior work experience 
  • Experience working in a multi-national environment with progressive HR practices
  • Good knowledge of taxation principles and local statutory guidelines and legislation
  • Good understanding of C&B practices and communicating basic C&B practices to employees
